This marching band called the St. Augustine Marching 100 performed at the end of the opening ceremonies of this convention yesterday. They were amazing! St. Augustine is a school here in New Orleans. It was like a mini parade with little floats. People even threw beads. People here are certainly proud of their traditions and heritage! For dinner and an adventure we took a trip on the Mississippi River on a paddle wheel boat called the Creole Queen. The food was great. The musicians were very fun! They took requests and several people danced. We saw some very big freighters on the river. One that said UBC. We couldn't tell where it was from.
